Image Stacking experiment
The biggest problem when obtaining microscopic images in cytology is the fact that the cells are positioned in different view planes. This is especially annoying in tumor cases when you need to show a good detail. As you expect half of the cells will be off focus. In this small experiment I used a free (for now) version of Zerene Stacker to stack multiple images of the same cluster of cells but with different view planes. In the example bellow the image on the left is a regular single plane image and the one on the right is multidimensional image using DMAP stacking option in Zarene Stacker. Both images are processed with Deep Zoom composer for interactive viewing.
