| Nuchal-type fibroma (NTF ) is a paucicellular, CD34+ fibrous tumor with fat entrapment, which may occur in both nuchal and extranuchal locations and in association with Gardner syndrome. Nuchal-type fibroma most often occurs in the posterior neck or upper trunk of younger adult males. It may be associated with diabetes mellitus It is characterized by a poorly marginated proliferation of hypocellular collagenous tissue showing entrapment of mature adipose tissue and numerous small nerves. |
